 Weather: SW force 4

The first Willow Warbler of the autumn duly arrived this morning.

A search through a few hundred Black-headed Gulls finally turned up a Mediterranean Gull on the shore, and there were 3,000 or so Herring Gulls on the west hoyle, and 26 Great Black-Backs were also noted. The Sandwich Tern roost now numbers over 350 birds while on the shore 4 Whimbrel and 14 Turnstone were viewed. Both Peregrine and Kestrel were logged today. A low tide seal count revealed 418 individuals.
