2nd November 2022

Weather: SE force 6, later S force 6/8 with rain by noon

It was quiet this morning in the increasingly blustery weather.

After the arrival of a single bird yesterday, today there were 3 Purple Sandpipers at the north end.

A Goldcrest was here and a Skylark flew south, otherwise no migration was discernible, however there was a good count (for early in the season) of Brents (286 pale-bellied and a minimum of 2 dark).A Wigeon and a Common Scoter were noted and 4 Bar-tailed Godwits were on the shore, also 3 Little Egrets, 12 Greater Black-backed gulls and 300 Herring Gulls.
