13th December 2022

 Weather:  ESE force 3    fog

The most impressive sighting of the day were 4 Whooper Swans flying west early in the morning.

closely followed later by a flock of 28 Pintail flying around the flooding gutter,

Also in the gutter was the male and 4 female types of Eider.

Over 300 Brent were found. Lots of waders were between Little Eye and Tanskey rocks, including 10,000 Knot and 3,000 Dunlin, like this individual that had been ringed elsewhere.

Just a single Purple Sandpiper was showing before the tide.

Single Skylark and Starling were logged while the 14 Wrens here today were possibly a winter influx, also present were 6 Blackbirds, 4 Song Thrushes and 2 Robins.
