 Weather:  SE force  with heavy showers. SW 5 later

 Of the 11 Carrion Crow noted today 2 were resident and the rest flew westward, as did 2 Jackdaw and 2 Raven. The first rain shower brought down a Chaffinch and 6 Siskin which landed briefly in the blackthorn. After the second shower a Chiffchaff was calling and a  glimpse was had of a Redstart spp in the SK paddock, sadly it was not seen again. Four Skylarks were passage visitors, while later in the morning 2 Wheatear arrived.

Duck around the island included a pair of Mallard, a female Goosander, 6 Eider, 34 Scoter and a pair of Shelduck which were below the east side.

Sightings on the sea included a Gannet and 7 Great Crested Grebes. Some of the 90 Turnstones roosted on the island during the tide.

 

Nine Purple Sandpipers could be found, Redshank numbered 35.

 

 Rock Pipits are still showing well, 7 were here today.
