A quiet morning on the island but 7 Wrens and 7 Robins were present around the gardens with two new Robins being caught and ringed.
The Pale-bellied Brent Geese has increased to 22 birds and still included the two family parties containing six juvenile/first winters - perhaps an early indication of a good breeding year? Only time will tell.
A young Peregrine flew up the gutter disturbing the waders including Redshanks which have been present in slightly better numbers recently.
Presumably the semi-resident male Eider was found at low tide sleeping on the distant sandbank exposed by the low water mark.
Ringing: Robin (2) [503-31]
