With the weather not conducive to migration a short visit to the island after the rain had stopped was made simply to check that our prediction was correct - and so it proved. A very quiet morning was livened up by a single Willow Warbler and a single Whitethroat sheltering in the blackthorn bushes in the lower paddock.
A couple of Greenland Wheatears fought on the south stack.
Waders were however moving through with 8 Whimbrel, 65 Dunlin and a single Knot recorded.
