Observers arrived late on the island this morning and were a little surprised to find that things had improved on the migration front.
15 Willow Warblers were noted (including 12 caught and ringed and one northern ‘acredula’ type bird again) and a Grassshopper Warbler sang briefly from the lower paddock bushes.
A single flava Wagtail flew over Middle Island calling and the two immature drake Eiders made a reappearance on the flooding tide.
