After yesterday’s excitement today was a little bit of an anticlimax. However, a single Manx Shearwater and 2 Leach’s Petrels were noted on the morning tide and a single Arctic Tern on the evening tide and still 22 Arctic Skuas.
Sadly, another effect of wind blow seabirds was a moribund Kittiwake at the North End which as strong enough to fly short distances evading the attentions of the larger gulls in the area.
Two Wheatears was a sign that passerine migrants were still forcing their way south.
