A couple more Redwings were heard this morning, and a Chiffchaff and Song Thrush were present, but little else in the way of small migrants. Thirty Pink-footed Geese flew over and the Brent reached a new high count of 62 birds including an individual ringed in Iceland and now returning here for the last 12 winters. Two long stayers were still here, the Magpie and the Shag. Notable numbers today were 8 Little Egrets and 33 Bar-tailed Godwits, while a late appearance came from 2 Sandwich Terns.
