11th March 2022

 Weather: ESE force 6

There were a significant number of Meadow Pipits passing through this morning, also a few Pied Wagtails, and regular Hilbre 'migrants' at this time of the year of a couple of Goldfinches, a Stock Dove and 9 Woodpigeons.

Two Ravens were about early on, as was a female/immature Goosander, presumably one of those from yesterday. A new Rock Pipit was ringed and another retrapped, possibly a breeding pair, with interesting variation in plumage.

also a new Meadow Pipit and Blackbird ringed. Four Great Crested Grebes were on the sea, but little else seen there. A female/immature Kestrel hunted around.
